Orders attempting to limit birthright citizenship, halting refugee resettlement, trying to end asylum, and closing our Southern Border have extreme consequences affecting millions of immigrants around our nation.

The changes threaten Manzanita House and other organizations working with and for immigrants as well. The new administration is threatening to penalize individuals and defund organizations that help immigrant communities in various ways including through the “Protecting the American People Against Invasion” Order.

Manzanita House has been able to provide immigrant legal aid and community power building services to our immigrant and refugee communities since 2022 through predominantly government funding. We’ve quickly grown to serve over 1000 people a year and have served individuals from over 70 countries. Our ability to provide free legal and wrap around services may change in the very near future without your support.
